| I landed myself in the ER this evening thanks to rupturing follicles! After a CT scan to make sure my appendix wasnt being squeezed out of the way by my ovary they informed me that it will only get worse because my right ovary still hasnt peaked for ovulation yet. Its only getting bigger and more painful. The follicles cant grow anymore so they are rupturing and causing pain. My doctor went through 4 failed IUI cycles, 1 failed IVF and 1 successful IVF, she was amazing and so supportive. She knew exactly the pain I was in. it happened to her when she had her first injection cycle too. She felt so bad for me because she knows that this will last for more time and made sure that I wasnt retaining any fluid from the hyperstimulation. So far I am not, just the pain in my ovaries and such. I am now on bed rest again after getting off of bed rest on Monday. They gave me lortab or whatever for the pain for the next 5 days and I have to get in touch with my RE to regulate meds for pain management after that.
normal ovary size is 2.5X2.5 My ovary on the right side is 4.8 X 8.1, which is bigger than a uterus.

| That sounds painful. I hope the pain meds help. Lortabs were a life saver for my back pain after surgery. I can't imagine what your going through feels like, but I'm thinking about you! | |
