| Well I went back to the dr today and he confirmed that I do have scoliosis. My spine curves to the left in the center. So now I have to go to physical therapy and once I stop breastfeeding he wants me to take muscle relaxers and if the physical therapy doesn't work then I am going to have to wear a brace.
I guess that explains why my lower back constantly hurts and I get sharp pain in the middle of my back off and on all day and why my back goes numb sometimes.... bleh.
He seemed surprised when I told him that I don't take anything for the pain, but I've had back pain for the past 5 years so it's just something that I live with. lol

| I had a mild case when I was younger. I didn't need PT but just did some exercises and it went away. I'm glad you know whats going on and can get some relief now | |

| Your in my prayers! I had to do PT for my knee and back years ago! It really helped with some of the pain I was having, and I hope it helps you! | |

| I hope you find some relief soon! Like I mentioned in a previous post, altho tricare doesn't cover Chiropractic... it is REALLY effective in relieving and correcting scoliosis. | |

| Thanks girls.
Jennifer- I'm going to see what comes of the PT and if it doesn't help or fix it I want to go the chiropractic route before I do the brace. Thanks for all the info.... it was really helpful. I'm going to research places around here.

| You may eventually need surgery depending on the severity of the curve, I have a slight curve and PT helped a lot, I hope it does for you too! | |
