| I made chili last night and it was yummy for a quick throw together chili, but curious if anyone wants to share their chili recipes whether its a red chili, or a white chili or vegetarian chili or whatever kind you make. I have several chili recipes but would like to get a few more just to try and to keep on hand. Thanks ladies!
One of my new favorite ones is a chicken one with green chilis in it that ThatAbby gave me.

| hmm, i just toss stuff together...
there is a "paper bag" style chili mix tat the grocery store sells--it's in small brown bag with the top rolled down--the only ingredient we don't use from the pack is the Cornmeal(it makes it thick)
but here's ours:
Ground Turkey(or beef) can diced tomatoes(or rotel-medium) 2 cans chili beans 2cans pinto beans diced onion *Chili powder *salt, pepper *garlic powder
we top with sourcream and cheese
**forgot to add that we use ground sirloin when we do beef and then get a thin sliced strip of steak and dice it real good too and toss it in--makes the flavor really good to use a good beef.
*it's what i put in it when I make it, david uses the chili mix in a package

| I love chili! It's something quick that I can just throw together and let it do it's own thing.
1-1.5 pounds of cooked ground beef/turkey or cut up cooked chicken 1 can dark red kidney beans 1 can black beans 1 can Feista corn 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies 1 can crushed tomatoes half an onion 3 stalks of sliced celery chili powder garlic salt onion powder fresh cilantro
I cook the onion and ground beef up together. As that is cooking I cut the celery and add all the ingredients short of the spices and the cilantro to the slow cooker. Once the meat is done then I add in. I cook it on high for about 3-4 hours depending on how much beef is in there. About halfway through I add the spices and in the last 30min I dice the fresh cilantro and add that in.
Then I grate cheedar cheese to put on top.
~If I'm using chicken I season that while it's cooking with oregano, basil and parsley and garlic salt while its cooking and add the onion too.

| Here is my "throw together" quick chili.
1lb of ground beef 1 can of tomato paste (real small can) 3/4C water 1 can of diced tomatoes 1 can kidney beans rinsed 1 beef boullion cube 1 chili packet 1 jalapeno pepper diced up 2 tsp cumin 2tsp of paprika powder
Brown beef and onion in pan and transfer to crockpot. dissolve boullion cube in water (heat in microwave) and then add to crockpot. Throw everything else in crockpot and cook until ready.
I love to eat it with rice and shredded cheese.

I don't use it religiously....but I use it quite often. Tyler got me a small one, 1 quart, size I think. And then we have a 6qt one too. I start a topic with some recipes for you to try if you want. With summer coming I plan on using it alot more!
