PostSubject: need yummy yet cheap appetizer ideas   Thu May 20, 2010 9:59 am

I am having a Pure Romance party this weekend and need some appetizer ideas. My problem is I always tend to spend a lot making snacks and buying drinks for the party.

I am thinking of making White Pizza dip with bread to dip. But knew you gals could throw some great ideas and recipes my way! TIA!!!

Pin wheels!

Flour tortilla shells (kroger has them 8 pack for their 10 for 10)
Turkey lunch meat (the cheap kind works great too!)
Cream Cheese
Green onions

Take the cream cheese and spread it on tortilla and put the turkey across the middle, just a 1 line layers and roll the green onion in it and cut in pieces

you could also try pigs in a blanket, you just use the little smokeys and crescent rolls and roll each one and put in the oven.

or get the little smokeys and wrap bacon around them, stich a tooth pick to hold them together. place in casserole dish and sprinkle brown suger over, back at 350 for about 15 minutes.

Tostitos scoops with this dip

1 pkg of cream cheese softened and spread over a 11x7 pan
1 jar of Black Bean and Corn Salsa (Tastefully Simple is the best but you can get a cheap kind at walmart that is just as good)
Sprinkle shredded cheese (amt: to your liking)

heat at 350 just long enough to melt the cheese on top!

Pigs in a blanket is always a big hit lol! Great idea Krista!!

I use the little smokies and then cut the cresent roll section into 4-6 smaller sections. I have down to a pretty good science so I use all the smokies lol

Cheese plate with fruit or meats.

I like doing 4"-6" kabob sticks. And mix on it fruit and cheese. And do a yogurt dip.

Cinnamon chips and fruit salsa

Take flour tortilla and lightly wet them and cover them in a cinnamon and sugar mixture. Cut them up and bake them in the over at 350' degrees for I think 8-10 minutes. I will have to double check the time. And the I will look up the fruit salsa recipe. They are both in an old Pchef book I have.

If strawberries are cheap where you are ($1.99 or under for a lb is cheap to me) get some of them and either make chocolate covered strawberries or make little strawberry cups with some vanilla pudding and cut up chuncks of angel foodcake. You layer it together.

You could do little smokies and honey BBQ sauce. SO yummy, and it's super easy.
