| We made two of the recipes in the cookbook that Evelyne made for me. Some of you ladies know her from SG. We did SS on a different site and we used some of her recipes tonight. This was my birthday dinner. It was Belgian Roast and Belgian Mashed potatoes (has leeks in them) and the gravy is from the roast which base is from a Belgian beer. It was extremely yummy. Many thank yous to you Evelyne! That is Mark's beer in the picture... not what we used in the roast.   |

How sweet. Although the main meal are Evelyne's recipes. I can't take credit. And I am so happy that I tried leeks. I have been wanting to but scared to...and is was in the potatoes. those were some really flavorful potatoes before the gravy but the gravy just set it to a whole new level. Now I want to try more recipes with leeks. |

Mark drinks a variety beer but that is one of his favorites. He is also always trying different microbrewery. |
