Baby Names

Since day 3 we have had our baby names agreed on. I was excited that, even after several hours we agreed and actually loved our baby names! Our boy name is Kaden Christopher and our girl name is Mikail Elizabeth.

But apparently the hours of hard work don't matter and baby names are subject to change. We were home on leave for about 2.5 weeks for Mardi Gras, and while spending time with his father's new girl friend Christopher fell into the "Do you have names picked out" conversation. He told the gf that yes we had names and they were set. Well as it usually does, the conversation leads up to "well what are your names" Christopher goes on to mention that our boy name is Cohen Christopher... WHAT?! No that's not what we agreed on, its the name I originally wanted, but we went on to agree on Kaden.. is this your way Sir, of telling me you are letting me have my way? That for once in your stubborn life you are giving in?

I could allow that! I would even let you have your way with our girl name if that's the case! Originally he was set on having Elizabeth as the first name, but since it is my middle name (different spelling) I wanted it to be the middle name. He wanted to be able to call his little girl Lizzie. Which I don't mind, but what the heck do we use as her middle name? I'm so at a loss for this one.

If you ladies have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated!! TIA!

My ultimate favorite baby girl name---and it was ALMOST Olivia's name 2 times--in the begining, then we changed last few months and then at the hospital, I almost changed it lol

I love the name Emerald for a girl...ho hummm

I liked Evelyn and Hazel. Emalie was my fall back name for Shiloh. For boys it was Levi Irving, but thats now the cats name

You could do something different like Elizabeth Jaelle.

I liked the idea of Elizabeth Presley..but don't want cruel initials, and they would be EPT..could you imagine?!

Yeah I would avoid the EPT initals.

I'm so picky about my names. I shared my names with another girl and she is now naming her child it. I'm kinda mad about it, but whatever, haha. It wasn't even on her list or radar before I mentioned it. Blah. Anywho... I really like the names you have picked out.

I loved the name Emily Grace but Jon wasn't to keen on it...we have 3 girls and he ended up picking out all their names (him and his crazy acronyms), Erika Nicole(END), Brittany Ann (BAD)and McKinley Alexis (MAD)

We don't have kids just yet but we've talked about names before mainly if I hear one in passing that I like, and I will still get him to name one of our kids Illyria dang it!

Elizabeth Grace is pretty but not sure how much you'd like it. I like it but that's me Hope you guys get it figured out!

We have brought up Grace before. I love it but Christopher isn't sold. I would like to keep Elizabeth, as we kept Christopher. I guess we have time and shouldn't stress too badly over it now.

on the subject of initials........my friends baby was born on the 4th of july---his initials are WAR

My little sister's name is Elizabeth Nadine.

So turns out he wasn't giving in We still have 2 trimesters left before it has to be final!
