4 ears of corn with husks on
4-8 pieces of bacon

First peel back the husks and take off extra corn silk. rinse off corn on cob and the husk. Push husk back up to cover the corn. Submerge corn in water to soak for about 15 minutes. Shake off the excessive amount of water. Place on hot grill. for about 7 minutes. Depending on your grill you will need to turn the corn every 3-5 minutes. After about 7 minutes remove corn and peel back the husk. Wrap 1 to 2 slices of bacon around the corn and push the husk back up. Return to grill. Cook for about 20 more minutes. The husk will get chargilled. And don't be alarmed if it catches on fire... the corn inside should still be ok. but do put fire out somewhat quickly. Wink Again continue to turn the corn around to cook all sides of corn and bacon.

This was first attempt to do this. Our corn did catch hence the blackened husk but corn was pretty safe. We have to perfect getting bacon done a bit better. The water from inside the husk from soaking it helps steam the corn along with helps from the husks from burning up right away.

A friend told us about this recipe and it was worth a try. something that definitely seems to be a bit of trial and error. the kids ended up eating their bacon separately. I went ahead and tried it on and it gave a different taste to the corn.

To change things up you could also add flavored butter to the corn instead of bacon if you prefer. For instance garlic butter or mix soften butter with BBQ seasoning and put it in the fridge to harden up some and then lather it on the corn on the cob before grilling it.

That looks/sound delicious.....

With the flavored butter thing....Molly does an herb butter on chicken that's pretty good, and I made the same for corn on the cob the other day....just soften a stick of butter, mix it with rosemary and thyme, then put it back in the fridge til firm.....

AMAZING with fresh corn!!
