Oatmeal banana cookies with Butterscotch chips and walnuts

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup mashed bananas (about 2 large bananas)
- 1 3/4 cups quick cooking oats
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (I added a little bit more)
- However many butterscotch chips you want. I did like 3/4 cup-ish..but the butterscotch/walnuts (or pecans, whatever you want) are totally optional but I think they taste phenomenal in the cookies.

Instructions
Oven Temp: 400 degrees.
1. Mix the flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
2. Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add egg, banana, oatmeal (and nuts/butterscotch if you're adding them)
3. Add dry ingredients, mix and form into tablespoon size balls on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake for 13 minutes-ish..cool on a wire rack and then taste the awesomeness.
