| As most of you know, new announcements are made regarding the board, on a regular basis. We ask that all members check the announcement section often to make sure they are not missing important announcements about rule or policy changes. You are not obligated to respond to announcements requesting member input, or about games and activities. However, we do require that all members read and acknowledge any announcements made about rule and policy changes. This is not intended to be a punishment. This is simply a tool the staff wishes to use to insure that all board members are on the same page as far as what is expected of them on the site.
Once a new announcement is posted a member has 3 days to acknowledge that it has been read (unless they do not log in at that time). After that 3 day period, all members that have not checked in will be sent a PM or email, letting them know the announcement is there and needing to be read. After one week, if a member still refuses to acknowledge the announcement the staff will issue a one week suspension. By not signing the announcement, the staff will view this as refusal to cooperate, and that member will be issued a suspension. Once the suspension is lifted the member has 24 hours to acknowledge the announcement. At which time if they do not, the staff reserves the right to delete the members account, without debate or discussion. If a member is deleted their post count will be lost, and will not be allowed to rejoin the site for 30 days.
We hope you understand that this system is not being put in place as a punishment. It is simply to insure that all members are aware of rule and policy changes, so there is no confusion later on down the road.
Our recommendation is that all member check the announcement section at least once every time they sign in. That way you know that you have not missed any announcements. We feel it is very important that all the rules are clear and that all members understand what is expected. We hope you all understand. Thanks in advance for you cooperation. | |
